Dr. Omid Zaroorian

MD, CCFP

Dr. Omid Zaroorian began his medical career in Iran, where he spent over five years as a General Practitioner in emergency rooms and outpatient clinics. This early experience built a strong foundation in clinical care and exposed him to a wide range of medical cases.

After moving to Canada, Dr. Omid expanded his expertise, earning a Clinical Research Associate Certificate from McMaster University in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honours from York University in 2011. He then worked for more than four years as a Registered Nurse, further deepening his understanding of patient care and healthcare systems.

Transitioning to family medicine, Dr. Omid has practiced as a Family Physician for seven years. From 2022 to 2024, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan and worked as a SIPPA Assessor. He continues to contribute to medical education as an Examiner for the Medical Council of Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

Since 2024, Dr. Omid has been a GP Hospitalist at Southlake Regional Health Centre and a valued member of Dr. Health, where he is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, compassionate care.
